Push To Play
In collaboration with my friends MadeByPlay, we’ve just designed and tested a travelling totem commissioned by City of London and Culture Mile. Located in different locations around Farringdon and Clerkenwell our eye catching totem tempts passersby with a big red button and the instruction ‘Push To Play’. Each push of the button activates a hidden mini-printer that spits out a playful mission to be completed. The missions, which we wrote a large amount of, are all designed to prompt ‘players’ to engage with other people around them and explore their local area with fresh eyes. There were plans to put the totem in Fabric nightclub which would have been amazing. Next time.
